Shreveport Justice Jacque, star of Cajun Court TV, prepares for 5th SeasonApril 22, 2017
Native to Shreveport, Louisiana, Principal Attorney Jacqueline A. Scott has been working in the field of law for 29 years. At the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, she practiced many fields of law such as DUI/DWI, Estate Planning, Criminal Law, Social Security Disability, and Probate and Estate Administration.
“When I went to college, I had no idea I would be a lawyer,” says Scott. “One of my majors was criminal justice, so I first became a probation officer. I would often have to go to court and I loved being in the courtroom.”
For four years, Scott has starred on her TV show, Cajun Court. Scott states that the idea of the show came when she was with her sick mother and she would often watch court shows with her.
“At first, I didn’t think anything on the court shows were real. But as I watched, I noticed that they were giving really good advice to people. So I thought to myself, ‘I’d like to do that one day!’”
The show has already aired 4 seasons and is gearing up for it’s fifth season very soon. For more information, visit www.cajuncourttv.com.
Scott states that there are no bad sides to her job so far. She enjoys working with different people everyday and especially loves working in criminal law. In the near future, Scott hopes to one day take her career to the next step by becoming known nationwide, but also keeping her supporters in Shreveport close to her heart.
