The Essence Of The Soul Fest is uniting amazing local, indie & celebrity artists with the community during the Essence Fest weekend here in New Orleans. This showcase’s goal & vision is to send a message that music can heal, inspire, uplift and unite people of all walks of life. The Fest begins with Indie Soul in the afternoon and Christian Soul in the evening. The lineup will feature 4x Stellar Award Winner Nominee Earnest Pugh, commonly known as “Gospel’s Leading Man”. Pugh is known for his Billboard #1 singles “Rain On Us” and “I Need Your Glory”.

2x Stellar Award Winner, Briana Babineaux will perform as well. Babineaux is a Lafayette, LA native who has taken the country by storm over the past year with her huge social media following which led to a #1 Billboard Single and various national awards. Her single, “I’ll Be The One” has opened many doors for her.

Stellar Nominated Keyondra Lockett will perform as well. Lockett is no stranger to Essence. Last year, she and Gospel Artist Christina Bell (both formerly of the group Zie’L) were selected to pay tribute to the legendary Clark Sisters at Essence. Lockett most recently has received international fame for being the first Gospel Artist to have her own doll. She will be attending Essence this year along with many celebrities to promote her new doll. She is also a Louisiana native (Shreveport) but has been living in Atlanta for many years now.

This event will also feature New Orleans native, Casme’, who is preparing to release her long awaited project. Casme has been leading Praise & Worship in churches all over the country for the past 16 years with Nashville and Atlanta being huge bases for her for almost two decades. She was recently featured during NBA All Star Weekend in New Orleans.

Comedian Shervey will have you laughing all night. Rudy Currence, Greg Banks, Cory Ricks, and many more celebrity appearances are being scheduled. Ro Wright, Activist and Pastor of Metro Church in New Orleans, has been asked to host the event. Wright is most known for his huge community efforts around the state. Recently, his church partnered with actor Kofi Siriboe and the cast of Queen Sugar to feed 250 Homeless people in New Orleans.  Last year, Wright’s church hosted a family event during Essence which featured VH1 Reality Star, Moneyetta Shaw and HBO Treme Star, Lance Nichols.

There are four levels of tickets: Stuests! and General Admission, Seated General Admission, VIP Lounge (includes VIP Lounge Upstairs, Red Carpet Reception, Celebrity Meet & Greet), and  VIP Plus (includes all the VIP benefits PLUS Front Row Floor Seats). The event will be held July 1, 2017 at the Historic Carver Theatre in New Orleans.
